Our history.
Ligne Metal was founded in 1991. We specialise in creating unique and desirable furniture and exterior ironwork for homes and gardens and we are proud of our reputation as market leader in the south of France. Our customers choose us because, like us, they’re inspired by a passion for design that makes a statement. Each painstakingly crafted piece brings a touch of style to your home - the “je ne sais quoi” that goes hand in hand with elegant living. From our family origins in furniture, over the years we’ve expanded our range to bring the unique Ligne Metal signature look to the outside of your home too. We’re the third generation of a family focused on furniture and design, and we love what we do. Our team.
When you’re investing in your home, it’s good to know you’ve got a team of experts behind you. Nearly 30 expert artisans work with passion and precision to craft timeless Ligne Metal products that offer the highest quality and the best value for money as well as made-to-measure designs to your exact specifications. We marry modern technology with centuries-old manufacturing techniques to create inspiring products and provide detailed plans that enable you to visualise your choice and proceed with confidence. We’re multi-lingual, and many of the team are fluent English, Italian and Russian speakers, skilled in translating your design ambitions to reality. In our showroom Anne Melli de Tonge, daughter of the founder, will be delighted to take you through the many ranges we have on offer so that you can find the perfect choice for your home and budget. You can see for yourself how everything from furniture through to decoration to exterior ironwork can work beautifully together to create a stunning home. Our director, Delfo Melli, guides and directs the development of everything we offer. Born and raised in the U.K, he works closely with customers, both private and professional, to understand their needs – from initial choice through to installation.
Our expertise.
Our designs are based on an intimate knowledge of the material we work with. Iron and metal have been used for hundreds of years because of their hard-wearing and flexible properties. Their great durability means your investment will last for years. All our products are hand forged in our own workshops using traditional artisan techniques. Our designers base their concepts on inspiration. Traditional designs add contrast and interest to new homes as well as fitting effortlessly into older properties. Contemporary designs add new dimensions to any home and make a talking point in any interior or exterior space. On placing your order, you can relax while our craftsmen embark on a detailed manufacturing process that starts with measuring exactly to the space we’re creating for. Only when you’re 100% happy with everything do we begin crafting your products. By the time we’re ready for installation we’ll have taken over 10 steps to guarantee we meet your expectations every time.
